glad to hear everyone is doing good, I love updates and I love hearing about you guys. and to answer your questions, no I am not getting a new mission president, President Ruiz actually has just about the same time as me in the mission, and he is from Panama and yes I am healthy. Funny that you mentioned that this week because I came down with a wicked cold but nothing serious like dengue fervor or parasites or anything, at least not that I know of. The mission has been threatening to send a lot of people home for health reasons so when I get sick I just kind of keep it to myself and dont tell anyone because I think I would rather die than get taken out of Guatemala. Alright, well this week FLEW BY! This week was fantastically fabulous! Blanca and her daughter Maria got baptized this Friday and so now all four members of the family are bap! Jorge and the other daughter got baptized 3 weeks ago and Jorge baptized his wife and daughter this week. It was so cool! It was probably the best moment of my mission to see him bap. them, the spirit was so strong and it just made everything so worth it. This family is amazing! I wish I could just be with them all day every day because they are just nothing but pure joy. I have loved seeing them all change so much and its amazing how easily and naturally they all fit into the ward, its like all of barrio San Martin had prepared a place for each of them and was just waiting. They rock I love them, I think a little too much! I really hope you can meet them someday too mom, I think you will, i will make it happen. Oh and for the bap we made brownies in the church and that was a first for everyone and they are all obsessed with them. I burned them crisps but they still loved them because ¨they are just like a chocolate tostada¨so I will probably be making a lot of burnt brownies in the next 6 months.
On Saturday we had a conference by elder Morales and all the missionaries and stake leaders in San Filipe were invited. I have heard from him before in mission conferences and stuff but he is a really incredible speaker and I always learn lots and lots so that was a good time.
Okay so I am the happiest little camper right now because my house is so awesome! I love the hermanas I live with, the four of us get along so well, we are all bffs. Hermana Leiche is from Peru and she is so sassy yet sweet at the same time and she always makes me laugh so hard I die, like to the point where the obnoxious, broken record repeat laugh comes out. Hermana Valeriano from Hawaii is one of my very best friends in the mission and we are planning on living together after the mission and my comp, hermana Zenteno from Mexico is just so innocent and is really starting to open up when we are all together, its great. I love these girls! So on Sunday after church we all chipped in and made a HUGE sunday lunch with pasta, salad, tuna, platanos fritos, beans, and we set the table with all of our nicest dishes and put on music and then we all ate together like a little family. It almost satisfied my 11 month craving to sit down at the table for sunday night dinner with the family. ALMOST... but not quite. I really miss that.
Then this morning we played a nice intense soccer game on the big nice field right in front of my house. It was a blast! I may have skin cancer when I get home because I am totes fried but it was so worth it! Well I am just about as happy as I can be, healthy as a horse, and as canche ever. Love you all lots and lots and i wish you all a happy summer. Sounds like you are going to be an empty nester for the next three months with all of these fun trips Jackie has planned. love to the moon and back. adios.
love
hermana Outsen
