hola!!
Okay first of all, it is NOT even hot here. it is probably the exact same as back home, maybe a little colder. but all of the hermanas from reu said that the weather in reu is like way different tan the city so we will see
The CCM is interesting. it is really tiny! there are about 100 missionaries and about 75 to 80 percent of them are hispanic and don”t speak a lick of english so i am learning spanish really fast! i love all of the hispanics so much they are all so nice and hilarious and they love me because i talk the most and i say dumb things like “my shoulder served in mexico” and other things like that. my district has 10 people in it and we do everything together. we study all day long and all of the teachers here speak either spanish or spanglish. there is one teacher who is really good at english and that´s because she served a misión in las vegas!! (holla at my girl Sam) i really like my district all of the girls are super nice and all of the boys are hilarious and very fun! we play volleyball everyday which is so fun! there is a kid in my district who is from hawaii so he is really good! there is an Elder in my district who i traveled with named Elder jorgensen (holla at my girl Kendra) and he is from bountiful (holla at my boy mitch) and he is really funny and good at spanish. my favorite girl is hermana phillips, she is from Ohio and she´s hilarious! we get along really well. My companion is super super nice but we are complete opposites in every way possible but we get along fine. mom, you would not like her! she is like the biggest to the T rule follower on the planet and she is seriously almost fluent in spanish. sometimes it´s really frustrating because i feel like i am so behind and sometimes it rocks because she is very helpful
My teacher, hermano Chavez, is awesome! he is from Guatemala city and I really like him! all of the latino hermanas are up to my shoulder maybe, they are tiny people. and they all love my blonde hair, I am the only girl in the entire CCM with blonde hair and it´s awesome because I get compliments all day long. there are 8 girls in my room and 4 of them don´t speak a word of english. on sundays we do companion exchanges and the nortes (whites) are paired with a latino so sunday was hard because i did not understand a Word at church and my companion (hermana ríos) does not speak english but it was alright because it really helped me with spanish. hermana ríos is one of my roommates and she is the smallest girl at the CCM and she is probably a full 6 inches shorter than me, Crazy! all of the mexican hermanas speak really good english so it´s always nice when they are around at meal time to translate what we cant say, ha ha.
Well sorry this email is so scatterbrained... i will try to be better organized next week. we basically just do the same thing everyday and we are on our own a lot. they are not very good at giving us instruction, partly because all of the people in charge don't speak english so we just kind of study until someone comes and gets us to tell us we are late for something. During all of the important meetings they give the nortes headphones and one of the RMs translates and they are usually really funny because they mess up the words and then laugh at themselves and then the nortes laugh and it´s a good time, makes those meeting much more entertaining.
I haven´t seen much of Guatemala because we are trapped in the CCM but from what I have seen it is very Green and there are so many trees, next week we get to go out into the real world and go shopping in the market.
oh and i do know hermana FitzGerald, she was one of the first girls to talk to me and she also knows bo Palmer as well as celeste. she is way nice, she actually spoke in church on sunday, in spanish! the food here is like the best of guat, it´s pretty good but there is at least one norte throwing up every morning, which is way gross because all the girls live on one floor and share a bathroom but i have not gotten sick yet so go me! oh and I love singing hymns because all of the latinos sing as loud as they can and they all suck and they hardly even change the note so they kind of just Yell the hymn and it´s awesome! well that´s all I can think of right now! I did not cry at all until I started reading your email then I kind of lost it, how awkward for my district who are all staring at me right now... so yes I miss you all so much and I love you! oh and they took away our cameras so no pics for 6 weeks, sorry.
 love,
hermana Outsen

Hola! I am here in Guat, made it safe! The MTC is super tiny, I think there are 100 people here total and 3 of them went to Brighton! me, Chase Poulsen, and Peter Jorgensen but I haven't  had much time to talk to them. my companion is from LA but she went to BYU and she is super nice and basically fluent in spanish already which makes me look an id but its okay! guatemala is muy bonita it is so green and there are paintings on every wall and guards with guns in front of every building but it is gorgeous here! the fist thing i saw when I got off the plane was a justin bieber billboard, ha ha. well I am out of time but I love you and I will be able to email again on tuesday i think!
